A normal heart has four chambers and four valves, where a blood vessel carries blood to the body and the other to the lungs. In this case, the patient had no right lung and no blood vessel going to the right lung. He had only left the lung and the left pulmonary artery coming from the aorta. This is what is called Hemitruncus (Half truncus). The patient also had a big hole in the heart. Normally, oxygen saturation levels are around 95-100 but as the child has had recurrent chest infections with a saturation of 35. "

" Doctors are considered god and belief in this affirmation increases when they your loved ones. My son also had a second life when Dr. Muthu Jothi from the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital saved my little boy from a serious illness that other doctors refused to operate, "says Dativa, the Patient's Mother,

Giving more details, Dr. Jothi said, "In order to treat the disorder, we first closed the hole in the patient's heart." We detached the pulmonary blood vessel left from the aorta, then between the blood vessel of the left lung and the right side of the heart, we grafted a tube. The tube was made of cow veins called "Contegra." The veins also have valves that we used right heart and lungs. Now the temgra provides blood to the left lung.As the patient had only one lung, it took a long time to recover. He was at the Outside of the respirator, but we had to put it under respirator again for about 10 to 12 days because of breathing problems. Later, we kept it under light oxygen with some pressure. He is fine now and it is good to return to his country. "

" The patient has to take medication for a while and needs proper care as it only has one lung to perform all the functions, "adds Dr. Jothi. Read : Depression and anxiety can increase the risk of heart failure, according to a study

"My child was very sick. He coughed a lot and was sweating terribly when he was only two weeks old. We first consulted the doctors in Tanzania, but he had no relief. Over time, his nails and tongue also began to turn blue. We understood that it was something very serious and we decided to come to India for his treatment. All this thanks to the doctors who agreed to perform his surgery because most of the doctors refused to do the operation given the risk involved. Dr. Muthu Jothi took up the challenge and treated our child successfully, "said the patient's mother
