The Windsor Overdose Prevention Society is opening an overdose prevention simulation site in downtown Windsor.
The site, which will be open to the public from Saturday, November 3, will consist of a fully equipped and staffed tent on Victoria Avenue. It will serve to educate the public on the value, safety and need for overdose prevention sites.
Staff will be available from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm and will provide the public with the necessary harm reduction kits and naloxone, as well as awareness material containing information on the ongoing opioid crisis in Canada and the steps to be taken to address it. .
