The Flyers can come within four points of the last wild card position and one point to the Canadians with a home win on Tuesday night.

• The disease virus that struck Claude Giroux went around the room and now touches defender Philippe Myers, who did not participate in the morning skate and who is a decision to make at the time of the match.

• The Canadians were third in the Atlantic Division the day they traded for Dale Weise and Christian Folin. Since then, Montreal is 6-10-1 and has fallen to ninth place in the Eastern Conference playoff standings.
Folin is expected to play against the Flyers, while Weise, who has not yet scored in nine games with the Canadiens, will be to his advantage.
• If you think the Flyers have a miserable power play, the Canadians have been terribly bad. Montreal is ranked last in the league with 11.9%. That would be the worst percentage on the men's advantage since the 2013-2014 Florida Panthers converted only 10%.
Former Jordan Weal Flyer is part of Montreal's first power play unit. Weal scored his last power play goal on Feb. 18 as a member of the Arizona Coyotes.
