When LaVall Jordan left Michigan in 2016, he was considered a potential successor to John Beilein. Jordan was in Michigan from 2010 to 2016 and was a key part of the move that pushed Michigan from a perpetual bubble team to run for the Final Four. After three years as head coach, two in Butler and one in Milwaukee, he is tied to the vacant Michigan head coach position.
