Candidate Breakdown: LaVall Jordan | UM

John Beilein travels to Cleveland after 12 years as head coach of Michigan and the search for his replacement is underway.

In the coming days, we will evaluate the best candidates for the opening of Michigan. We will dive into CVs, analyzes and everything else to try to understand each candidate. Our second Profile takes a closer look at Butler head coach LaVall Jordan.

Previously: Juwan Howard

When LaVall Jordan left Michigan in 2016, he was considered a potential successor to John Beilein. Jordan was in Michigan from 2010 to 2016 and was a key part of the move that pushed Michigan from a perpetual bubble team to run for the Final Four. After three years as head coach, two in Butler and one in Milwaukee, he is tied to the vacant Michigan head coach position.
