Mirror, mirror on the wall, is this apartment the scariest of all?

A New Yorker had a frightening surprise when she went looking for the cause of a draft – and found an abandoned apartment behind her bathroom mirror.

Samantha Hartsoe rocked TikTok with a shocking tour of the disturbing discovery, in a four-part video saga posted to the platform Wednesday and Thursday. Hartsoe’s first music video of the alarming news has been viewed 7.5 million times.

“I’m in my Cirty New York apartment and it’s cold. No matter the temperature, I’m cold, ”she explained. Following the draft in her bathroom, Hartscoe said she felt cold air flow from a notch in the doorway. As she searched, she realized that the cold air was coming from the mirror.

“And I realize the mirror is moving,” Hartscoe said, shocked.

In the second clip, the New Yorker removes the mirror to reveal an unfinished room on the other side.

Showing the view to two friends, her pal named John wondered “What if someone is living in there right now?”

“The strangest part about it is that they didn’t fill it on either side of that hole,” Hartscoe said. “I have to come in and find out what’s on the other side of my bathroom.”

Equipping herself with a face mask, gloves, and sneakers – plus a flashlight to her head and a self-defense hammer for good measure – she jumped through the hole in the wall, as shown in the third clip, released Thursday morning.

In the final video, Hartscoe walked around “the whole other apartment,” albeit an unfinished apartment that didn’t look quite up to code. Inside, she found garbage bags and a bottle of water as the only apparent “signs of life”.

“It’s freezing here!” she said. She also took the opportunity to lock what appeared to be the main entrance to the abandoned apartment.

The video is then quickly forwarded to Hartscoe back home, where she proudly states that she “came out alive!”

“My landlord gets a really funny phone call tomorrow!” she joked, popping the bathroom mirror up over the hole in the other unit.

“By cementing that mirror, you all catch in the next adventure,” she wrote.

Social media users were mostly horrified by what Hartscoe found, comparing the second space to the plot of the slasher movie “Candyman,” released in 1992 and premiered with an August remake directed by Jordan Peele.

“I who look at these women [sic] climbs through the bathroom mirror in her apartment on Tiktok knowing that Candyman is on the other side, ”a Twitter user wrote.

“Someone obviously hasn’t watched CANDYMAN,” a echoed

“Gen Z has to watch Candyman, apparently,” another agreed.
