After weeks of anticipation and ramp-up, Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs have given voice to fans of Las Vegas fights. The two top middleweights competed in 12 grueling T-Mobile Arena events. Alvarez beat the unified champion at 160 pounds via a unanimous decision.
The Mexican superstar has watched the game, though sometimes has been challenged by the larger and more physically imposing Jacobs. After the fight, Alvarez did not want to commit to what would follow, but he left the door open to the possibility of a trilogy with his rival Gennady Golovkin if GGG was to win the match against Steve Rolls in June.
