Who knew that going down to sea level could make a basketball game lose to a basketball franchise, its diplomacy and a grip on a playoff series?
But that's what happened to Denp Nuggets.
We all saw what they did. But do they understand what they started?
The Nuggets stung their eyes in Game 6. They made fun of it, although the safety of their bench. Denver Radio broadcasters Scott Hastings and Jason Kosmicki participated in this fake tough act and suggested someone to kick the injured center, Jusuf Nurkic, to the shin.
Then the broadcasters doubled the broadcast and said, "Regarding Zach Collins, he has a punk face."
Well, Blazers have to be done, then. Afraid of being bullied in Game 7, they go to bed. They will go astray in the summer in the face of all this violence. Or at least that's what Denver has to think about.
But we all know better, do not we?
I spoke to former NBA goaltender Dennis Scott at the Moda Center on Thursday night. He said that he thought that the polite and respectful nature of the Nuggets at the beginning of the series had put Damian Lillard and the Blazers to sleep.
