Capcom still has "no plans" to bring the "Resident Evil 2" to the Nintendo switch

Last year, Capcom declared that it did not intend to present its next Resident Evil 2 redo the Nintendo switch. And that, unfortunately, has not changed.

As you can see, it seems unlikely that the classic 1998 survival-horror system will be overhauled, and the Nintendo system should be reinstated, and you will assume that this needs to be reduced to the limitations hardware of the console.

There is certainly not a lack of demand, and Resident Evil 2 not only critically acclaimed, but it seems to have sold pretty well too. In other words, I imagine that if a Nintendo Switch port were installed on the table, Capcom would jump on it.

That said, while Resident Evil 2 is certainly a tax system in some ways, I guess it could work on the switch with some graphical gradients and some other tweaks. But perhaps not, after all, nothing proves that the RE engine, on which the game turns, works well with the switch.

Resident Evil 7 – which was built on the same engine – has notably arrived at the Nintendo Switch last year in Japan, but only in a streaming version made possible via the cloud. It's possible that Capcom can do something like this for Resident Evil 2but if the game did not sell very well in Japan, it probably is not worth it.
