Cardi B applauds with receipts after Wiz Khalifa pits her against Nicki Minaj for Grammy snobs

Cardi B’s career has only grown in popularity since she landed her single Bodak Yellow in 2017.

But the Grammy winner has faced her fair share of bitter bickering and rivalry as she ascends to the top.

She recently clapped with receipts, after Wiz Khalifa attempted to pit her against hip hop rival Nicki Minaj for Grammy snobs, following the announcement of this year’s nominees.

It all started when Wiz, 33, posted on Tuesday on Twitter: “As a Grammy nominated artist, I know what it feels like. Niggas always think it’s unfair until they have their turn. Just keep working and that time will pass.

“ Cardi winning a Grammy when Nicki Minaj didn’t is the biggest proof they don’t know anything about music, ” wrote one follower, who quotes retweeted with: “Most independent artists have this problem.

Cardi, 28, called him out over his hypocrisy, posting a screenshot of a DM he sent her in 2016, as she wrote: “It was N **** in my dms in 2016! They really support you when you squeak at the bottom, so it’s another story when you do!”

Artist Real Rich’s post read, “ You have your cause and you join in. Don’t stray from the things that are important to you and that make you.

“You do a great job and the way you approach it is admirable. Keep your light bright and don’t let others take it. Peace and love.’

Actress Hustlers later wrote on Twitter: ‘I don’t understand why n **** s entertain tweets that pit successful women against each other? Aren’t you tired of this? Especially when you were rooting hard when ab **** was at the bottom.

Her feud with Nicki, 37, has been the subject of much speculation over the years, culminating when she allegedly threw a stylus at artist Barbie Dreams during a party at New York Fashion Week in September 2018 .

Cardi appeared to put the past behind them and sing Nicki’s praises in August, during an interview with Apple Music.

Although she didn’t mention her name, she said: “ When I was six, seven, eight, there were a lot of different female rappers. And then there was a time when there weren’t any female rappers at all. I have to keep replaying songs from the early 2000s.

“ I have to keep replaying it, replaying it, replaying it because for a while there was no rapper. And then there was a rapper who dominated for a very long time. Do you know what I’m saying? And she did very well. She still dominates.

Artist I Like It also said, “ I feel like people want to pit women artists against each other. Each time, I have the impression that there is a female artist who rises, who rises, who rises and who becomes a moment for the general public …

“I always see it as nifty little comments like, ‘Oh, they take your place. They take over. They take over.’ And it just makes me feel, the fuck, why did it have to be like that? Because I really like shorty music. Why does it even have to be like that?

Cardi won the Grammy for Best Rap Album last year for her debut studio album Invasion of Privacy, and she has racked up seven other nominations since 2018.

While not ready for a Grammy this year, her team chose to submit her single WAP (feat Megan Thee Stallion) for review next year, as part of the campaign for her second album.
