It's no secret that Cardi B is a big fan of Britney Spears. So it makes sense that the rapper worries in the midst of all the speculation surrounding Spears' personal struggles.
Speaking to Entertainment tonight When launching her collaboration with Fashion Nova yesterday, Cardi spoke of her admiration for the pop star and even stated that she would like to work with her at some point. However, things took a more serious turn when the subject of Spears' recent struggles – including a restraining order against ex-director Sam Lufti and a stay in a psychiatric facility related to the stress surrounding his father's health – has been discussed.
"I love you and I totally understand," Cardi said in a heartfelt message to Spears. "Glory will make you really crazy, not only will fame make you mad, but it's as if, once you had money, everyone wanted to take it, or sometimes you just had your own personal problems. "
Cardi then lamented the celebrities' lack of privacy and said she sympathized with Spears, especially since she's been in the spotlight for so long.
"When you are a celebrity, everyone wants to sue you, everyone wants some of the money for which you work," continued Cardi. "It's very frustrating."
