Cardi B seems to minimize The weekendThe fury of being snubbed at the Grammys with a spotlight on other black performers making themselves known … which is interesting.
The rapper released a lengthy statement on Saturday about her thoughts on all of the Grammys drama, and while she admitted that she thought certain albums and songs probably should have been nominated, she doesn’t seem as upset as others. .
All she has to say on the snub issue is … “[M]aybe by next year they will be successful. “
How I feel about the Grammies. Don’t forget to congratulate the little black artist who was nominated and who was eclipsed again because of the drama. It’s their time at last! pic.twitter.com/uoSJtG1aqi

What she wanted to talk about at length, however, was the fact that a number of lesser-known independent black artists were nominated this year … and that they should be allowed to revel in that honor, because too often they’re overlooked despite being amazing.
Cardi writes: “Don’t forget to congratulate the little black artist who was nominated and who was eclipsed again because of the drama. It’s their time at last!” She goes on to quote artists who are vying for an award, such as Freddie gibbs, Overlook, Brittany Howard, Clemons ants, Lady, Luke james, Thundercat, Chika, Jeans and Marcus Baylor and more … several of them rated by Cardi that don’t get the publicity, as brand names in the music business routinely do.
She ends by saying, “Soo besides all the bulls *** let’s not forget to congratulate these artists”, saying it’s their time too and people shouldn’t outshine her “because your favorite may not be on the list. ”Her choice of words here certainly raises an eyebrow.
Of course, The Weeknd just recently sworn to boycott the Grammys moving forward – this after accusing them of being corrupt and running secret committees that supposedly would require a lot of kissing behind closed doors. The Grammys denied this characterization.
Yet it seems that Abel’s other contemporaries mostly agree with him that the Grammys are wrong time and time again. Duck rang not so long ago with that feel exactly … and even BeyonceIt’s going to be a no-show on Sunday, despite being the most nominated artist.
Guess Cardi – who should be performing during the big show – doesn’t think it’s such a big deal at the end of the day.
