Cardi B reacts to Donald Trump supporters’ boat party blowing up his hit WAP

Cardi B took to Twitter on Tuesday to share a clip of what appeared to be a boat party of President Donald Trump’s supporters playing her new single WAP.

“ Didn’t Republican conservatives care a little about this song? The Grammy-winning artist, 27, tweeted after the song was criticized by right-wing commentators including Ben Shapiro, Laura Ingraham and Raymond Arroyo.

The singer, whose full name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, pointed out that people in the video were not practicing good social distancing methods or wearing masks amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“Either way, it itches me,” she added of the boat. “I’m calling the FBI for this party. They are not in quarantine.

The tweet elicited a number of reactions, with some objecting to her espousing her opinion on politics, which she has never avoided in the past.

The I Like It performer initially endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders and has since backed Vice President Joe Biden since Sanders left the race.

Earlier this week, the Grammy-winning artist interviewed Biden for Elle, telling the alleged Democratic nominee that she felt Trump was dishonest and unconditional in his handling of the ongoing pandemic.

“I just want Trump to come out,” she said. “His mouth is causing us so much trouble. I don’t want to be lied to – we are facing a pandemic right now, and I just want answers. I want to know when it’s over. I want to go back to my job.

“ But I don’t want someone lying to me and telling me it’s okay not to wear a mask, that everything is going to be okay.

She added: “I want a president to tell me what are the steps to improve ourselves, to tell me: ‘This is why it takes so long, this is why other countries are doing better than ours.
