Cardi B shared how difficult it was to film music videos with COVID-19 restrictions while appearing on The Tonight Show Thursday with Jimmy Fallon.

The 28-year-old rapper released her hugely popular WAP video in August and last week gave her fans a music video for her new song Up.

“ Is it difficult with the pandemic to record a song, let alone make a video of it? Jimmy, 46, asked the Grammy-winning rapper who appeared remotely on the NBC talk show.

“Videos, yes, of course. Because there are some things you can’t do, ”said Cardi, whose first name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar.

“I made this pyramid with girls. And the pyramid, we have to do it in under 10 seconds because there were more than six people, ” Cardi said.

“And because of COVID, people cannot touch each other. Even if you are tested three times before the video clip. You are tested at the start of the week, the day before and the same day, ”she said.

Jimmy pointed out that there was licking in his Up clip as well.

“Yeah, we had to, like, beg,” Cardi says.

Jimmy thought it odd that she couldn’t form a human pyramid, but she and the women in her video could ‘kiss in French’.

Cardi explained that everything was determined by following the “craziest protocols” of production.
