NFC West is ready for a wild and savage finish with Kyler Murray right in the middle.
Murray’s 43-yard Hail Mary was carried by DeAndre Hopkins with a second left to bring the Arizona Cardinals in a three-way tie for first place with a miraculous 32-30 victory over Buffalo at Glendale. Arizona
Josh Allen had pushed Buffalo (7-3) ahead 30-26 with 34 seconds left with a 21-yard touchdown to Stephon Diggs.
From his own 25-yard line, however, Murray made three straight passes to move the Cardinals past midfield with 11 seconds remaining.
The former Heisman Trophy winner rushed to his left and lifted the ball to the end zone, where Hopkins passed three Buffalo defenders to capture the last-second touchdown.
Murray also scored twice on the field for the Cardinals (6-3) to become the first Super Bowl-era quarterback to have a rushed touchdown in five straight games. The most recent of four quarterbacks in NFL history to accomplish the feat was Tobin Rote of Green Bay in 1956.
The Los Angeles Rams’ 23-16 defensive win over falling Seattle – combined with Arizona’s comeback victory – resulted in a three-way tie at the top of that division at 6-3 with seven games left for each team.
Russell Wilson has been intercepted twice by Darious Williams, sacked six times and held without TD for the first time this season as the Seahawks have lost for the third time in four weeks after a 5-0 start.
