The Arizona Cardinals are in a win-and-you-do game against division rival Los Angeles Rams in Week 17, but coming away with that win could be about to get more difficult. Star quarterback Kyler Murray limped off the pitch after the team’s first practice, heading for the locker room with an apparent leg injury.

Murray was injured in the final practice of last week’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but said earlier in the week he would be ready to make the regular season finale. He took a seven-yard read option for good gain and completed one of his two passes on the first drive, but was sacked by Morgan Fox on a third to complete the drive.

After Arizona, the Rams knocked out quarterback John Wolford, who was leaving for injured Jared Goff. Wolford was intercepted by Jordan Hicks in his first career assist, and when the Cardinals returned to the field, substitute Chris Streveler was in the game instead of Murray. Streveler completed a pass to Trent Sherfield for three yards, then a touch-swept throw pass to Jonathan Ward, who took her into the end zone for a touchdown that gave Arizona a 7-0 lead.

The show said it was doubtful Murray would return with an ankle injury, also stating he was in the x-ray room to check on the injury. Murray returned briefly to the sideline, stepped into the blue medical tent, then limped back to the locker room.
