Cardinals were stupid enough to convince Christian Yelich

How did not they learn? A day after Brewer Soldier Christian Yelich hit three flags and dropped seven points on him in a 10-7 victory, the St. Louis Cardinals chose to kick him off again. Why, idiots?

At the start of Tuesday's game, Yelich had scored seven goals in five games against the Cardinals. The most useful player of the BN NL 2018 season is not bad, but it is an absurdly hot series, and the best way for an opponent to mitigate the damage would have been to get around it. This gives Yelich eight players in six games against the Cardinals. At this point, he should play a role in the front-office of the team.

The Brewers won 8 to 4 and after the match, Shildt explained why he had let Helsley mind cope with Yelich. The manager felt it was best to let his green reliever face one of the best baseball hitters to not lose confidence in him. Surely, Helsley felt good after giving up a huge three-point dinger that put the game out of reach. Of St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

"We put Helsley in the fire," said manager Mike Shildt. "People will say you could have driven him to (Ryan) Braun. But what are you really going to say to a guy who goes to the big leagues – (he) is not good enough to pitch a good hitter? I will not send a message to a guy who makes his major league debut like that.

"He went straight to him. It was a difficult situation. But everything is downstream from here, right?

Both teams play the last game of their series this afternoon. Shildt said last night that he would consider intentionally walking Yelich, but he was not attached to this idea. Via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

"It's possible tomorrow? Absolutely. It's possible, "he said. "The definition of madness does the same thing over and over again. There is a dividing line between giving treatment (Barry) Bonds and enjoying the fact that at some point you feel like it's going to end.
