Just two weeks after the famous pastor Carl Lentz was fired from Hillsong Church, a woman came forward claiming she had an affair with the disgraced character.
Ranin Karim, a 34-year-old jewelry designer, said Vanity Fair in an interview published on Tuesday November 17th that she met Lentz in May and after seeing her statement confess to being unfaithful in her marriage, she felt that she needed to speak out.
“I know what I got myself into, but at the same time, I wanted to do the right thing and walk, go,” she told the magazine. “I am not a monster.”
Karim said Vanity Fair that Lentz first told him that he “managed celebrities” for his job and when he suggested they meet again, he recommended that he not google it. (Nonetheless, she did.) Soon they started a romance with Karim – a divorcee – recounting Vanity Fair that he once called her a “unicorn alien woman, whom I’m always happy to have met!”
