Carlos Correa Made For The Regular Season

The Astros have closed the stars Carlos Correa down for the rest of the regular season due to a previous number, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle tweets. The club is expecting Correa to be ready when his first-round playoff series starts next week, manager A.J. Hinch said.

Although this does not seem to be a serious injury, it is still alarming to see the Astros heading for the playoffs. Back problems have been very common in the past two seasons for Correa. The 25-year-old is back from a back injury that has kept him from playing for nearly a month, but he has not played since last Saturday.

When Correa was healthy enough to conquer the field this season, he was once again one of the most successful players in the Astros. Correa reduced .279 / .358 / .568 with 21 home runs in 321 appearances on the plate to help the Astros finish first in the AHL. Just days away from the regular season, Houston holds a two-and-a-half-point lead over New York for the advantage on his field during the playoffs.
