Carly Pearce knocked out both of her front teeth as she dressed as a ‘wine drinking cat’ on Halloween

Country singer Carly Pearce was smiling from ear to ear after winning the Music Event of the Year trophy at the 54th CMA Awards in Nashville on Wednesday night.

The public never knew that the 30-year-old, Kentucky-born, was due for emergency dental surgery after falling and knocking out both of her front teeth while dressed as a ‘cat drinking wine ” on Halloween.

“It looked really bad. It was scary. I was just lucky to find doctors who were helping me and knowing the pressure I was under, ”Carly told E! News Wednesday.

“ I had a bunch of stitches in my mouth, looked completely different than what I looked like right now, and it was a little scary because I knew I was going in the biggest week of my life. ”

Pearce (born Slusser) added: “But with each day I was like, ‘Please Lord let my face heal so I can do it’ because this is such a huge time.”

Maybe the Hide the Wine singer heard how her ex-husband Michael Ray was dressed as Prince Eric for Tyler Reese Tritt’s Ariel the Mermaid at a different Halloween party.

At 32, the Grammy nominee is ten years older than the daughter of two-time Grammy winner Travis Tritt, who said: ‘No stuff, just candy! I had such a happy Halloween with all my hoots.

Carly filed for divorce from Michael in June after just eight months of marriage.

“I have a feeling that 2020 has shown me what can happen in your career and in your life,” Pearce said.

“I’m just going into the New Year excited about new music, excited about this chapter for me and feel really good.

The Next Girl singer is still mourning the loss of her Grammy-nominated producer, Busbee, who died September 29, 2019 of brain cancer after producing both albums.

‘Busbee gave me this gift through that song [I Hope You’re Happy Now]Carly told People on Thursday.

“He made me realize that was the turning point for me … This song, sonically, was all I wanted to do musically forever.”
