During his media availability ahead of Portland Trail Blazers training camp, future Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony noted that he “had to swallow that pill” to get off the bench. Anthony noted that the clear communication from president of basketball operations Neil Olshey played a key role in his decision, as did his relationship with the organization and players Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.
