Carnival Cruise Line has changed its face coverage and testing policies, according to brand ambassador and Carnival Cruise Line senior cruise director John Heald.

From August 7, all guests will be required to wear face masks indoors. This includes elevators, stores, casinos, dining halls, and queue areas.

“In any (indoor) area where many people are gathered and when you are not eating or drinking, we are going to require you to wear a face mask, and this is for all guests, not just those who are not. vaccinated, ”Heald said in a Facebook video.

Additionally, starting August 14, all cruises will require all guests to test negative for coronavirus within three days of departure.

“It’s for all guests, (including) fully vaccinated,” Heald said. “You will need a negative antigen test done within three days of your cruise, and you will need to provide proof.”

Heald explained that Carnival had to introduce these rules in order to “keep sailing”.

“This is what we have to do, and we ask for your understanding… We have to be careful, and we have to get it right, and we will continue to make any changes that we need to keep the fun going,” Heald said. Explain.

According to him, passengers sailing with Carnival Cruise Line over the next few months will soon be notified of the change.

Sailing on Carnival Pride on Oct. 31 will have different rules, Heald noted.
