Carrasco, 32, was placed on the 10-day list of injured with retroactive effect on 2 June. He is 4-6 with a 4.98 ERA in 12 starts this season and has spent his entire career in the big league in Cleveland with a record of 83 records in 219 appearances (183 starts).
He went 17-10 in 2018 after posting a mark of 18-6 in 2017.
The Indians also opted for half-player Greg Allen at Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday and recalled right-footers Jon Edwards and Nick Goody of Triple-A in the corresponding shots.
