Carrie Underwood just released a new HBO Max Christmas special, My present, and that’s the stuff that vacation dreams are made of. John Legend also joins Carrie for a powerful performance of their original song, “Hallelujah”, which also appears on Carrie’s album.
“I’m doing a song with John Legend and it’s been a wonderful experience throughout,” she says in the clip. “Being able to sing these songs from this beautiful ensemble was really amazing.”
For the star atop that gorgeous Christmas tree on a special one, fans will have an adorable look behind the scenes as Carrie recording “Little Drummer Boy” with her 5-year-old son Isaiah.
“It was so awesome,” the singer said People to record the duet with his son. “I was laughing, and I was crying, and it was just very overwhelming in a good way. It’s just very emotional.”
Carrie also shared a photo from the special mother-son moment on her Instagram on Monday.
