DeSean Jackson is back at the Eagles, where he started his career, and quarterback Carson Wentz seems pretty happy.
Jackson was selected by the Eagles and played for the team from 2008 to 2013, before leaving for rival Redskins division. He was then sent to Tampa Bay, but it never really worked, as Jameis Winston did not target him at all. Ryan Fitzpatrick, on his side, did a sweet magic with Jackson. The two men have grown really well, but Jackson has been made invisible with Winston under center, and he is the quarterback for at least the 2019 season.
As such, it made sense that the Bucs chose to trade Jackson against the Eagles on Monday. D-Jack even said Philly was his favorite business destination and said goodbye to Bucs on Instagram. It seems so that he had what he wanted.
Wentz reacted to the trade with this fun tweet.
It seems that Wentz is happy to be able to launch a vertical threat, a major asset that was missing from the team last season.
