Carson Wentz to the bears? Josh Rosen returns to the 49ers

Carson Wentz to the bears?

It has been reported that Wentz would be exchanged within the week, then the steam really started to pick up for the Eagles. Now it looks like the Chicago Eagles and Bears are close to making a deal with the former No.2 in the 2016 NFL Draft.

According to Natalie Egenolf 97.5 The Fanatic and NBC Philadelphia, Wentz may be on his way to Windy City, and the Eagles can get a good game in return. The Eagles are expected to get a first-round pick, Nick Foles back and an attacking player. The offensive player is said to be Tarik Cohen, but the running back himself disputed this information.

It would give Wentz a fresh start in a town where he wouldn’t have to compete for a job, while the Eagles would also get a bit in return. The question remains: Do the Eagles beat Jalen Hurts in 2021, or are they looking to take a quarterback with the sixth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft?

Josh Rosen has another chance

Now in his fourth team, the former top-ten pick in 2018, Josh Rosen is looking to stay on the same team for more than a year. After landing on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad earlier this season and then claimed by the San Francisco 49ers, Rosen is expected in the bay area because he is a free agent of exclusive rights this offseason.

As the Niners look to move on from Jimmy Garoppolo, Rosen might just have his chance to compete this offseason if San Francisco doesn’t find a way to land a new gunslinger. Look for John Lynch to be aggressive for a new quarterback, but for now they have a defined backup plan with Rosen.

Herbert, Young Wins Rookie of the Year Award

The NFL hosted its awards show last night, with Aaron Rodgers winning the MVP, Coach of the Year Kevin Stefanski, and a few rookies bringing the gear home. Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert edged wide receiver Justin Jefferson for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, while Washington’s Chase Young won the defensive award.

Herbert, the sixth overall pick a year ago, finished his rookie season with over 4,300 passing yards, 31 touchdowns and ten interceptions. He shattered the rookie passing records set by Peyton Manning, Russell Wilson and Baker Mayfield en route to the award. Young ended his rookie season with seven and a half sacks, 10 tackles for loss and 12 hits for the quarterback.
