Carson’s Return, Dunbar’s Debut, and Seahawks 2020 Training Camp Practice 4 Observations

Cornerback Quinton Dunbar, who was acquired in an off-season trade with Washington, trained with his new team for the first time on Sunday.

Dunbar was taken off the commissioner’s exemption list last weekend, but the required level of COVID-19 testing demanded of players before they could train meant Dunbar was unable to take his physique until Friday or take the field until Sunday.

Shortly after the Seahawks arrived on the pitch, Dunbar got hands-on, one-on-one coaching from Carroll, who went over some technical details. This is nothing new for Carroll, a former security and defensive back coach by trade who enjoys working closely with defensive backs, especially those who are new to his defense.

For now, Tre Flowers is still working with the No.1 defense at the right corner, but as Dunbar levels up he is expected to compete with Flowers for this position.
