Instagram fitness influencer Ca’Shawn Ashley Sims was found unharmed in a Los Angeles hospital after missing a month ago, authorities said.
The 30-year-old was found in “good condition” in hospital and has since been reunited with her family, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Thursday evening.
“There is no suspicion of foul play,” the sheriff’s office said. “The family asks for privacy.”
Sims, whose nickname is “Cookie,” had not been seen since September 8 in Duarte, a town outside of Los Angeles.
The fitness influencer, who has around 216,000 followers on her personal Instagram account, had not posted anything on social media since July 1.
Authorities issued a missing person alert on Monday as her family pleaded with the public for help in locating her.
Sims’ mother told KABC her daughter suffered from mental health issues during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The sheriff’s office said it would not disclose further details about Sims’ disappearance.
