Casio’s Pikachu Baby-G is the perfect watch for Pokémon trainers

Pokémon trainers looking for a watch to suit their lifestyle would be hard pressed to find a better choice than The G-Shock collection from Casio. Designed to have a “triple 10” resistance – 10 years of battery life, 10 bar water resistance and the ability to survive a 10 meter (33 foot) drop –the G-Shock is like a Pokemon with perfect stats, with the additional advantage of being able to keep time.

This new watch will pay tribute to the female Pikachu, identified by her heart shaped tail, which appears on the watch strap and buckle in shades of pink and chocolate brown.

According to Casio, the watch strap represents Pikachus enjoying the great outdoors to symbolize the “active image” of the Baby-G brand.

The watch itself is wrapped in rosy beige and the double-sided, displaying both analog and digital time, points its hat to Pikachu’s. 25th place in Pokédex with “Pikachu # 025“.

A close look at the watch face reveals another familiar face, like the hour and minute hands resemble the ears of a Pikachu! And that’s not all – looking at it from the side reveals two more ears, between 7 and 8 and 10 and 11.

To top it off, the watch will come wrapped in an adorable Poké Ball, making it a great gift for you or another trainer.

With such a cute watch, you will have no problem keeping an eye on the time, but first you will need to be able to catch it, as this timepiece is only produced in limited numbers. Available in Japan from February 5, the BA-110PKC, as it’s known, will retail for 19,800 yen (US $ 190.80) wherever Baby-G watches are sold.

This will make a nice addition to the black 8-bit Pikachu Baby-G released in 2019, and don’t forget – you can always add Pokémon jewelry to complete your outfit!
