Marvin Hojas, who raises huge birds, was killed on April 19 when one of his casinos attacked him after his fall in the backyard of his home in Gainesville, Ontario. announced the Florida sheriff's office in Alachua, Florida.

The San Diego Zoo says that casoars are considered "the most dangerous bird in the world".

Now, this cassowary – as well as a second cassowary – and all other Hojas animals will be sold at the cattle auction on the Gulf Coast on Saturday.

"One of Marvin's wishes was that his animals be auctioned off as soon as possible," says Gulf Coast Livestock Auction in a Facebook message.

The group said that Hojas had been a friend for years and that he would miss her a lot.

In addition to casoars, emus de Hojas, macaws, marmosets, lemurs and exotic animals are on sale.

Although the cassowaries are unable to fly, they can jump up to seven feet in the air and swim. The San Diego Zoo says their three-fingered feet have a "dagger-shaped claw on the inside end that measures up to 4 inches long".

This claw, they say, can open just about anything it triggers.
