Casting A Miles Morales Live

Miles Morales could join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: Homecoming 3. Here are a few actors who could play the character in live-action.

While Peter Parker is the only Spider-Man live-on right now, Miles Morales could join the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon, so here’s who might be playing it Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 or beyond. Interest in Miles Morales has arguably never been higher. Although he was already popular with comic book readers, he has become a bigger name in pop culture in recent years thanks to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and now with the release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This only increased the demand for Miles to make his live debut.

With Sony and Disney / Marvel Studios sharing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man for the time being, fans had already speculated that Miles could make his big screen debut inside the Venom-verse. But the MCU has already laid the groundwork to include the fan favorite character as well. Aaron Davis is Miles Morales’ uncle and a deleted scene from Spider-Man: Homecoming included a drop of Miles’ name. Although his age was never specified, Miles could now be five years older if he weren’t cracked by Thanos and closer to age with Peter Parker now.

Teasing for Miles Morales to join the MCU recently led to great speculation in which he will appear Spider-Man: Homecoming 3. Since he could be older now thanks to Avengers: EndgameJumping five years, Miles could be old enough to start his own superhero career. But, the multiverse could also provide another explanation for its addition. After all, Miles’ origin is normally tied to Spider-Man’s death, so it could be from a universe where Peter Parker died. From part of Spider-Man 3The plot appears to include other universes with Doctor Strange appearing (before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) and Jamie Foxx’s return as an electro, that may explain the use of Miles.

There are also big rumors that Spider-Man 3 will include or set up a live Spider-Verse. The proposed event could see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield return as past versions of Spider-Man from other franchises, but Miles Morales can also be featured after an appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming 3. If he is to appear in the movie, Marvel and Sony will need to find a young actor to play the Afro-Latino superhero and there are some great actors who could get the job done.

Caleb McLaughlin

Strange things Star Caleb McLaughlin is one of the fan-favorite choices to play Miles Morales in the MCU. He’s made it to the top of most fan lists thanks to his role on Netflix’s hit sci-fi show, and he’s even expressed interest in dressing up. His role as Lucas in Strange things allowed him to showcase his comedic chops, which would pair well with Holland’s Spider-Man in the MCU. He’s just turned 19 too, which makes him a few years younger than Holland. Since he is currently playing a child who has just entered high school Strange things, there’s no doubt that McLaughlin could play convincingly a few years younger than his age. And with McLaughlin having the giant Strange things fandom behind him, he would definitely be a popular choice to join the MCU and maybe even get his own solo movie.

Miles brown

If Marvel and Sony want to pick someone who’s a bit younger, they could look to Miles Brown for the role. Brown already shares a first name with Morales and is a bright young star in Hollywood. He’ll only be 16 at the end of 2020, making him the perfect age to play Miles Morales in the MCU in Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 and beyond. Brown is best known for his role as Jack Johnson in Blackish, a role he played for seven seasons. The ABC sitcom showed how he grew up as an artist, and he recently had his first lead role in a movie with Genie boy. The role of Miles Morales would be the next big step in his young career.

Lonnie chavis

Miles Morales has always been a teenager during his short comic book career so far, and Lonnie Chavis presents the studios with a chance to cast Someone Who’s Just Dawn. He just turned 13 and is the youngest actor on this list. Chavis is best known for playing the younger version of Randall in the hit NBC drama It’s us. Although he has had other roles on television, Chavis has recently joined the “Disney family” as well. He played Cameron in the original Disney + movie Magic camp. This movie may not have been a big hit, but it could give it a foot in the door.

Jharrel jerome

Bringing Miles Morales to the MCU could lead to some changes to his story depending on how he’s presented. But, one aspect that many hope to see accurately portrayed with Miles’ cast is his half-Latin, half-black heritage. While the previous suggestions don’t meet those criteria, Sony and Marvel could play big and cast Jharrel Jerome to properly bring Miles to the screen. Jerome is one of Hollywood’s most talented rising stars and is Afro-Latino and has already impressed with his work in Moonlight and When they see us, but at 23, he would make Miles a lot closer to Peter’s equal than anyone Peter could mentor. With Jerome’s experience, however, he would undoubtedly be able to make Miles a cornerstone of the MCU for years to come.

Happy rhenzy

Another slightly older pick for Miles Morales could be Rhenzy Feliz. The 23-year-old Afro-Latino actor has also previously played a Marvel character. Feliz starred in Hulu’s Runaways live-action series for three seasons and played Alex Wilder. With the show being canceled and unlikely to become the official MCU canon, Feliz could land a new Marvel role with Miles Morales.

A stranger

The options presented above range from prominent TV stars to rising movie stars, but there’s no guarantee that Marvel and Sony will pick a known actor to play Miles Morales in the MCU. Tom Holland was barely a household name before he was cast as Spider-Man, and Marvel Studios recently picked Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan despite the lack of acting credits. The most important thing when it comes to choosing Miles Morales for the MCU is finding the right person for the job, whatever their background. That means there’s a good chance that if Miles joins the MCU with Spider-Man: Homecoming 3, many fans might not know the person playing the role. It has worked for Marvel before, so they can try and repeat the success.
