In his last play for MLB.com, Anthony Castrovince predicts a few key signings for the Mets in the near future.
First and foremost, Castrovince thinks it’s almost certain the Mets will sign a receiver JT Realmuto this offseason.
With no “major restrictions” in their path – especially as new owner Steve Cohen seeks to take the lead and be an active buyer – the Mets are the pioneers of well-rounded Realmuto.
Castrovince also predicts the right-hander Marcus Stroman re-sign with the Mets.
Aside from injuries and unsubscribes, Stroman may be the second best option (behind Trevor Bauer) in the free agent starting pitcher market, says Castrovince.
