Taking to Instagram on Wednesday night, the Welsh actress, 51, paid tribute to her ‘extraordinary’ cousin in a moving post after her death on February 13.
Catherine posted a photo of Gemma alongside a touching photo of a light that had the caption: “ Gemma 1983-2021 ” followed by a heart emoji.

The actress revealed that Gemma would take her ‘final resting place’ on Thursday as she encouraged her followers to ‘leave a light’ in her memory.
Catherine wrote: ‘On February 13 my beautiful cousin Gemma left us in this world. She was truly a “gem” to all of us and she was truly an amazing mother to her five children.
“Tomorrow, she will take her last home. Join my family and I and leave a light on for Gemma tonight.
Catherine’s 3.6 million subscribers were quick to send their love and condolences to the star for her loss.
