Pokémon GO seems to have some fun with April Fool's Day, with Ash Ketchum, protagonist of the animated Pokémon, making his appearance in GO Instant Mode.
According to Serebii.net, reports from players living in areas hit by April 1 indicate that Smeargle's camouflage in Pokémon GO Snapshot mode has been replaced by Ash Cap Pikachu and Ash Ketchum himself.
Any light bulb from Ash Cap Pikachu or Ash Cap Pikachu will reveal a Pikachu Ash Cape – the first appearance of Pokemon since it was released more than a year ago.
According to Serebii.net, this can be done five times a day.
Numerous reports of the ash-hooded pikachu appearing to be brilliant have also been reported, marking the first time that a glossy ash hood pikachu can be caught.
