CBD stores popping up around Tucson

TUCSON, Arizona – You may have noticed the opening of CBD stores around Tucson or products sold in town.

Sales are increasing in these stores thanks to rumors of health benefits. The owners of your CBD store say that they are trying to fight the stoner stigma and say that you do not need a marijuana card for medical purposes to make a purchase.

CBD has been touted as a cure for pain, arthritis, anxiety and a host of other problems.

It is even used in beauty products.

"It's the new trend because it's great for antioxidants, free radicals and pockets," said co-owner Simonett Mildebrant. "Because it's an incredible anti-inflammatory."

Cannabidiol is a chemical compound found in marijuana and hemp plants.

Business is booming in the country, with the opening of new stores around Tucson.

"So many things, we will soon open our third site in Marana, in the northwest," said owner Brian Mildebrant.

The US Farm Bill of 2018 was adopted in December. Hemp is no longer a Schedule 1 drug and CBD oil can be purchased without a marijuana card for medical purposes. Mildebrant says his products will not make you hover or have any problems at work.

"Regardless of the tiny amount of thc9 present in the plant, our company actually extracts all THC and we sell a zero THC product that does not appear in a screening test or urine test.

One client stated that she no longer needed medication for anxiety thanks to CBD.

"Less stress and less dependence on prescription drugs," said Rose Powell.

Mildebrant says he hopes the old stigma surrounding hemp and marijuana will not prevent people from feeling better.

"Maybe try a free sample," said Mildebrant. "Enter and discover the different delivery methods available. See if that is a good way for you before you rule it out. "

Although Mildebrant says its products have zero sources of THB, CBD sources may contain more.

The Pima County Sheriff's Office says the CBD is legal as long as the THC level does not exceed the federal limit of 0.3%. The Food and Drug Administration can name and sanction companies that openly claim that cdb can cure an illness or an injury.
