The Super Bowl ad inventory is “virtually” sold out for the Feb. 7 game, according to ViacomCBS.

The thirty seconds of the biggest night of advertising sold for $ 5.5 million or a little more. But ViacomCBS could still let an advertiser participate in the game if they made an attractive offer. CBS will air the Super Bowl on February 7.

The Super Bowl 2020 Fox show’s inventory had been depleted the previous November, but it’s not unusual for in-game ad slots to stay much closer to game time. Although the Super Bowl has always represented a rare opportunity for advertisers to bring their brand to Americans, it was a difficult and uncertain year for many companies.

This year’s list of advertisers is full of newcomers, as some advertisers like Coke and Budweiser have chosen to steer clear of traditional ad time. Meanwhile, Pepsi will continue to sponsor the halftime show, but it is spending the traditional advertising time. Its sister brands Frito-Lay will still display ads during the game.

New names such as e-commerce company Mercari, independent marketplace Fiverr and used-car retailer Vroom will appear on next month’s game after the force in a year at home.
