CC Sabathia's knee pain will not go away.
The big southpaw probably needs a travel on the list of woundedManager Aaron Boone hinted that the Yankees defeated the Orioles 7-5 Wednesday night.
Boone said Sabathia's right knee, which had made him lose time early in the season, had "barked," leaving Sabathia's status indeterminate for his next round in the rotation. The 38-year-old gave four earned runs in five sets and drew seven.
Sabathia is expected to return to New York, where he will be vaccinated with cortisone on Friday. The Yankees have recently called Jake Barrett because they could choose to get on the road to the "first game" as they did Sunday, if Sabathia was running out of time.
