Zelda

This year marks 35 years THE Legend of Zelda series. Nintendo has announced an HD remake of the Wii title, Skyward sword, and release an appropriately themed Switch Joy-Con, but other than that it seems to be holding the celebrations.

Regardless of that, fans are celebrating Link’s 35th birthday in all kinds of ways and joining fun and talented British songwriter Marcus Hedges – who has composed for games like Century: the age of ashes, Replace 2 and Ary and the secret of the seasons – created his own orchestrated soundtrack of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.

This album, as shown above, can be streamed on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, and various other digital music services.

Hopefully, this won’t be the last we hear from Wind Waker this year. In fact, in case you missed it, the 2002 classic will be making a comeback later this year, once the HD version of Skyward Sword is released. So what do you think of the soundtrack above? Does it bring back fond memories of Wind Waker on the GameCube? Leave a comment below.
