Several musicians have landed in Washington DC to perform at Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ inauguration at the United States Capitol.

The Presidential Inauguration Committee (PIC) last week announced a list of stars for the inauguration ceremony, as well as a number of prominent artists who will appear at additional events broadcast after the swearing-in of Biden and Harris.

Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez will take the stage of the ceremony with respective performances. The two female performers are more than equipped to entertain large crowds since they have performed at the Super Bowl before. Country icon Garth Brooks, who joked earlier this week that he might be the “only Republican” present, joined them in an astonishing announcement made a few days ago.

While the ceremonial events are largely virtual, a number of streaming events as well as a prime-time special will follow on Wednesday. See below for a breakdown of historical events and what stars you can expect to see.

Fox News caught up with the singer’s father, Joe Germanotta, last week, who said he was thrilled his daughter was attending.

“I am extremely proud,” said Germanotta, a New Yorker. “I can’t wait to watch it.”

The artist’s father also wished for a “calm day” because the ceremony takes place just two weeks after the Capitol was violently violated by rioters, killing at least five people.

Latin superstar Jennifer Lopez will follow Gaga’s performance with her own musical performance. Not much has been released about Lopez’s songs, but her fiance, Alex Rodriguez, promised earlier this week that viewers would be “surprised.”

On Tuesday, Lopez teased on Instagram that she had landed in the nation’s capital. In photos shared on his Instagram, Lopez poses for selfies with members of the military.

“What an honor to spend a few moments with these brave men and women. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. I honor you today and every day. 🇺🇸 Tomorrow I sing for you and all Americans. ❤️🤍💙 # inauguration2021. “

Brooks’ participation stunned his fans because he is also a well-known Republican. Some fans claimed they were “looking forward” to watching him on stage on Wednesday while others claimed to have “unsubscribed” the star after the announcement. However, he made sure to note that his presence there is about bringing people together, not politics.

PIC announced that the theme for Biden’s ceremony was “America United”.
