Celtics & # 39; Ainge presents Wade with a garden floor

Celtics president Danny Ainge handed Dwyane Wade a plaque with a photo and a 2008 TD Garden Floor exhibit on Monday to commemorate his retirement.

Ainge met Wade in a hallway of the TD Garden before the Celtics hosted the final match of the Heat in Wade regular season in Boston.

"Thank you for your career and inspiration, we all benefited," Ainge told Wade in front of a media group. "You have been a remarkable player, we have had good battles."

"Yes, we have," said Wade.

Ainge then took a not too subtle move to Wade, evoking a 2011 playoff incident in which Wade and Rajon Rondo got tangled up, and Rondo left with a dislocated elbow. Rondo later said that Wade was a dirty player.

"I forgive you now for ruining Rondo's elbow," Ainge said.
