If you’ve just received a massive bill from CenterPoint Energy, don’t panic.

Several have reported receiving an email from CenterPoint Energy, the Houston metropolitan area’s electricity supplier, claiming they owed more than $ 200,000 for this month’s bill.

Melissa Correa from KHOU confirmed that CenterPoint is having a billing issue and customers don’t owe hundreds of thousands of dollars for electricity.

“We have just been alerted to this issue and are reviewing it to fix it,” the CenterPoint account @CPAlerts wrote in a response tweet. “Customers are not liable for this amount and it will not be taken from their account. We will notify our customers and our media once we have a resolution.”
