Cesar Azpilicueta blasted Chelsea in front of the goal, defeating Manchester United.

The Blues withdrew from the FA Cup in the fifth round as heads of Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba sent United into the quarter-finals.

"The night has been tough," said the Spaniard at Chelsea TV. "We did not put Manchester in trouble even at 2-0.

"We were not very good in the last meters, so we paid (for) that, and in the end we could not score."

Azpilicueta admitted that Chelsea's season would be set over the next nine days.

The Blues will face Malmo in the Europa League on Thursday before facing Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.

"In three days, we will be back at the Bridge against Malmo to finish the work started last Thursday and move on to the next round.

"Then we have two massive games, and we know that a trophy in the center is all about bringing fans back to Wembley with the spirit of winning the cup.

"Let's hope we can give them a bit of happiness, to enjoy it a bit, and then we know that Tottenham at home is something special."
