Chad Beebe of the Vikings has ligaments torn at the ankle, no surgery is planned for the wide receiver

After receiving an MRI, it was revealed that Viking catcher Chad Beebe had torn ankle ligaments, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL network. For the moment, Minnesota has no operation in Beebe and will evaluate its status within a week.

This news comes after the 25-year-old was eliminated from the field in the third quarter of the Viking's 34-14 victory over the Oakland Raiders in the third week.

Beebe is currently No. 3 receiver on the Vikings' depth card behind Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs after defeating the former Laquon Treadwell first round pick over the summer. With Josh Doctson in the injured reserve, the Vikings have only four Thielen, Diggs, Beebe and Bisi Johnson among the four pending receivers on the list.

Now that Beebe is down, Minnesota is even thinner than it already was at the position. It would not be too shocking to see them plunge into the free agent market. For what it's worth, the Vikings worked with catcher Jordan Matthews last week, according to Field Yates by ESPN.

In addition to his receiver duties, Beebe is also the most returning player in Minnesota. Head coach Mike Zimmer will have to concentrate on two positions if he is absent for a long time.

As they attempt to reshuffle their skid unit and receivers' body, the Vikings will also prepare to travel to Chicago to face the Bears in the fourth week.
