Chadwick Boseman received four Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations this year, a personal best for the late actor.
Only Jamie Foxx in 2005 and Maggie Smith in 2013 received four nominations in one year in the 26-year history of the awards show.
Boseman’s posthumous feat was celebrated on Friday by his “Black Panther” co-star Michael B. Jordan, who shared an Instagram post with snapshots of his nominated films.

The post received over 1.5 million likes on Sunday afternoon.
Boseman was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” by George C. Wolfe as well as for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in “Da 5 Bloods. “by Spike Lee – both of which were distributed by Netflix.

Both films are nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, which includes Boseman and other actors who directed the films.
Viola Davis, who starred as Ma Rainey in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” shared a tweet that highlighted her and Boseman’s nominations.

Boseman died in late August at the age of 42 after a four-year battle with colon cancer. He was first diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016, which passed to stage 4 by the time of his death.
