Prior to the start of the Divisional Round playoffs on Sunday, the NFL sphere was abuzz with commercial rumors of Deshaun Watson. Watson wasn’t happy that the Texans lied to him by giving him a voice in whom they hire as their next head coach. He has made his displeasure clear, prompting the team to try and scramble to appease him, but it seems to be too little too late.
Adam Schefter learned on Sunday morning that there was a growing sense that Watson had played his last snap for the Texans. And as early as Sunday afternoon, the team discussed potential business partners.
Naturally, a lot of fans would like Watson to wear their favorite team’s uniform. But only one will. The choice of team will depend on a few factors, not the least of which is the type of interim capital they have.
