ChargeFast MagSafe Battery – MagSafe finally becomes useful! [Video]

[ad_1]

It looks like companies are finally starting to come up with practical and functionally useful MagSafe accessories, as Apple is certainly not far off. This is the ChargeFast MagSafe battery. It is a 5000 mAh portable battery that can be recharged via MagSafe or with a cable. For $ 55 from ChargeFast, it’s a pretty handy accessory, and it works great with my iPhone.

Warning

I myself purchased this product directly from ChargeFast. But we recently found out that ChargeFast is not the original manufacturer and you can get this same product on Amazon or AliExpress for much less. But I can’t speak to the experience of buying this battery from Amazon or AliExpress as I haven’t.

What is included

Included in the box you get the battery itself and a short USB C cable. You can purchase this battery in gray, blue, or green. I think the blue model I bought looks very nice and would fit a Pacific blue iPhone 12 Pro perfectly. Since this is a 5000mAh battery, it is thicker. But it’s definitely manageable as long as you hold it in your hand.

Load and performance

I mainly use this battery on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, but it is compatible with all iPhone 12 models. It is also compatible with any phone that supports Qi wireless charging. You won’t get the MagSafe magnetization factor with every phone, of course. But as long as your device is Qi-compatible, you should be able to use this battery without any problem. And for good measure, I tested this with my Google Pixel 5. I had no issues loading.

When it comes to charging speeds, this battery can do up to 15 watts wireless and 20 watts over a wired connection. And that’s a good thing for iPhone users, because it’s basically the best iPhone can do anyway. You have two ports for charging your phone and charging the battery itself. A USB Type C and Type A. Next to the I / O is an LED indicator that informs us of the charger’s battery status.

Magnetization and strength

The magnetizing force is quite good considering the overall weight of this charger. The iPhone 12 Pro Max weighs around 230 grams and this charger weighs around 190 grams. It’s pretty impressive how well it holds up, considering it’s well over 70% of the weight of the phone itself. When you shake the phone lightly, you can’t make it move, at least not on my iPhone. Overall, the magnetization is very reliable for daily use.

Taking 9to5Mac

All in all, this is by no means a revolutionary product, but it is really handy for iPhone 12 owners. And it will be in my travel bag for the foreseeable future. What do you think of this accessory? Sound off in the comments below!
