The Chargers are currently trapped at the corner, which has led them to complete the group before this weekend's game against the Lions.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the team sign Dontae Johnson to their list of 53 men. According to several reports, Trevor Williams would go to a wounded reserve in a corresponding movement.

The 49ers chose Johnson for the fourth round in 2014 and spent four years with the team before spending time with the Seahawks, Bills, Cardinals and Chiefs. He returned to the Niners this summer, but failed to be part of the team.

He has 158 tackles and two interceptions, during which he returned for touchdowns during his career.

Williams and Roderic Teamer were both inactive for the Chargers last Sunday due to injury and Michael Davis was injured at the hamstring in the overtime win over the Colts.
