Charles Woodson has played many seasons (18) and many games (254) in his NFL career. He made a lot of interceptions (65), a lot of breakage passes (183) and a lot of fans.

The former Raiders and Packers defensive back had everyone standing at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, and it wasn’t because he was the last of seven Hall of Fame inductees from the 2021 class to speak Sunday evening.

“Anyone who was at Fremont Ross, any player who played with me, please stand up. To get up. Staying up. Stay upright, ”said Woodson. “Any Michigan wolverine, get up. Any Green Bay Packer, past, future, present, all the fans, stand up. All the Oakland Raiders fans, Las Vegas Raiders fans, stand up. Staying up. Staying up. To anyone – anyone – who was a fan of the way I played football, you stand up too. Anybody. My [college] Coach Lloyd Carr told me a long time ago that there is no one greater than the team. No one bigger than the team. Staying up! Do not sit down! To get up! We did this together! Together! Me and you! We were Mr. Ohio together. We won the Heisman Trophy together. We were national champions together. We were defensive recruits [of the year] together. We were together defensive player of the year. The Super Bowl champions together. So when I say when I come in we go in, I mean it from the bottom of my heart. ”
