Charming Charlie plans to close its 261 stores in 38 states after filing for bankruptcy in Chapter 11 on Thursday, USA Today reported.
This is the second time that the retailer went bankrupt and closed 100 stores during the previous bankruptcy that ended in April 2018.
USA Today reports that the company has declared in court that it would face "unsustainable operating expenses, including expensive leases."
Sales have begun to stop and the retailer expects all stores to be closed by August 31, according to the documents filed.
