Charlize Theron said Monday that his first audition was with a producer who did not suit him.
"It was a very big contract and the rest," Theron said on SiriusXM's "Howard Stern Show."
The 43-year-old actress explained that a model agent had recommended hearing after telling the agent that she wanted to try to act.

"It was my first audition," said Theron. "I had just turned 19, I would still be 18. I had never been auditioned."

The agent told Theron that the audition took place at the producer's home at 9 pm a Saturday. When Theron arrived, she said, the producer was barefoot and in pajamas.
She said that he had brought her home, sat very close to her and drank.
"He had a very healthy ego, he felt very good with himself," she said.
She stated that she did not feel comfortable with her situation and continued to ask him questions about reading the pages that had been given to him, but he repeated to her that they were just going to talk. Eventually, he put his hand on his knee, she said, adding that it was at that point that she understood that she had to leave.
"It's crazy and the girls talk about it while everything is empty. As if you did not know what to do, but I left. I do not even know how I got out of the house, but I left, "she says.
She went on to say that, while she was returning home, she was angry at herself for not speaking.
"I thought," I'm not that kind of girl. Why did not I tell him to go himself? It made me so angry, "she says.

However, her story was completed eight years later, after she made her name. Theron told Stern that the producer had finally offered her a job and that she had gone to talk about it "just to get my moment," she said.
"He said," Nice to meet you. And I said, "No, we've already met. And he did not remember it. And his production partner stood right next to him and he was embarrassed, "said Theron.
"I went down the list, I said," It was 9 pm. on a Saturday, at home, you wore pajamas. I went down the list. I had my moment. He said, "Wow, I do not remember," she added.
"Which, by the way, shows you how many women he has done. He does not even remember it, it's not an isolated case, "Stern said.
