Charlotte, North Carolina – As state health officials warn of large rallies set to ring in 2021, a Charlotte church is holding a rally that is expected to draw hundreds of attendees, according to NBC affiliate WCNC.
The United House of Prayer is hosting an event to honor the chief bishop of the church. Bishop CM Bailey, the head of the House of Prayer franchise, which is made up of nearly 150 churches, is visiting Charlotte on Saturday and Sunday.
House of Prayer churches across the region are expected to bring members by bus, WCNC reports.
In October, the Charlotte Church hosted a week-long convening event that drew thousands of church members from across the country. The Mecklenburg County Health Department said at least 208 coronavirus infections and nine deaths have been attributed to the event.
